Steven Pinker

A Canadian cognitive psychologist, linguist, and evolutionary psychologist. He studied in the tradition of Chomskyan linguistics, but the influence of evolutionary psychology led him to differ from Chomsky on the evolution of language. He takes a strongly negative view of artificial neural networks.
