Incomplete protein
Protein lacking some essential amino acids. Since most protein-containing foods we eat are complete proteins, the complete/incomplete distinction is not particularly meaningful.
The sole exception is gelatin, an animal protein. Gelatin completely lacks the essential amino acid tryptophan.
