Kiro (software)
An IDE released by AWS on July 14, 2025. It is based on VSCode and supports Agentic coding. It describes its approach as “Spec-driven development.”
Spec-driven development
The approach is to write user stories and acceptance tests in requirements.md, a design document in design.md, and concrete task specifications in tasks.md.
Acceptance tests use EARS, a slightly formalized natural language.
