A person who practices [veganism](https://wiki.g15e.com/en/pages/Veganism.txt), or food, products, and so on that are consistent with [veganism](https://wiki.g15e.com/en/pages/Veganism.txt).

Definition: [Definition of veganism](https://wiki.g15e.com/en/pages/Definition%20of%20veganism.txt)

## Noun and adjective

<Tobias Leenaert> recommends using 'vegan' as an adjective (vegan food, vegan restaurants) rather than as a noun (e.g. Are you a vegan?). Nouns give a [dichotomous](https://wiki.g15e.com/en/pages/Dichotomy.txt) impression (So are you vegan or not?), whereas adjectives do so less. There is a difference between 'become a vegan' (noun) and 'try vegan food' (adjective).[^1]
