I collected my thoughts on "tools that support the process of thinking" in [Apps without a save function](https://wiki.g15e.com/en/pages/Apps%20without%20save%20function.txt).

Read [Evaluating large language models in generating synthetic HCI research data](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Evaluating%20large%20language%20models%20in%20generating%20synthetic%20HCI%20research%20data.txt).

The use of GPT to automate coding <unstructured data> caught my attention. I've been interested in this area for a while. Looking for related research, I found studies such as "Content Analysis with Large Language Models: Supporting Deductive Coding with [Large Language Models](https://wiki.g15e.com/en/pages/Large%20language%20model.txt)." https://arxiv.org/abs/2306.14924

VR space is infinite, but physical space is finite. Fortunately(?), humans cannot walk straight using the <vestibular system> alone; we need corrections from signals sent by our eyes and ears. By exploiting this limitation and cleverly distorting VR's audiovisual information, we can make people feel they are walking straight in VR while actually walking in a large circle.

This is called [redirected walking](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Redirected%20walking.txt). The concept appeared 20 years ago (2003), and the first author of the [paper](https://diglib.eg.org/items/3dbe562f-4045-4d70-8c56-4c202be15b4c) describing the experiment published a review of the intervening developments 15 years later (2018): [15 Years of Research on Redirected Walking in Immersive Virtual Environments](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/15%20Years%20of%20Research%20on%20Redirected%20Walking%20in%20Immersive%20Virtual%20Environments.txt). Looks interesting.

An interview should be a process for the candidate and company to check whether they fit each other. If the interviewer does hands-on work, the candidate should naturally be able to ask to see that person's work. This is also more reasonable because it allows a richer exchange of information during the interview.
