In [As we may think](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/As%20we%20may%20think.txt) (<1945>), called a prophetic text that helped bring about the <internet> and information society, <Vannevar Bush> asserted that although complexity had long meant unreliability, it was now possible to build complex, reliable machines cheaply. Yet in the <twenty-first century>, swallowed whole by IT, complexity has once again come to mean unreliability. What a strange world.

What is wrong with my field that we handle complexity so poorly, and why am I creating bugs again today? 😭 Is the problem that people are doing work people shouldn't be doing?
