Welcome :) A personal wiki where I write whatever comes to mind: diaries, technology/programming, HCI/UX/design, philosophy/ethics, and more. Welcome :) ## Journal ### 2026-10-31 While building [CorTeX](https://wiki.g15e.com/en/pages/CorTeX.txt), I have been thinking about various aspects of caret navigation in the editor. I wrote an article with some interim results: - [Caret navigation in hybrid markdown editor](https://wiki.g15e.com/en/pages/Caret%20navigation%20in%20hybrid%20markdown%20editor.txt) ### 2026-10-27 These days I am hard at work on an academic writing service called [CorTeX](https://wiki.g15e.com/en/pages/CorTeX.txt). ### 2026-10-11 I finally built something to replace Obsidian. I wanted something fast, without folders or tags. Two days after building it, I no longer use Obsidian. One reason this was possible, I think, is that I hardly used any Obsidian plugins. ### 2026-09-30 Being busy with various projects has led me to neglect the wiki. ### 2026-09-01 I asked an agent to optimize power consumption, and it found and fixed various issues on its own. For example: - An app had been deleted, but its bundled LaunchDaemon remained and kept trying to restart every 10 seconds. Fixing this eliminated a process that ran 8,640 times a day. - Fixed ghostty's cursor blinking consuming an abnormal amount of battery (`cursor-style-blink = false`, `shell-integration-features = no-cursor`), reducing idle CPU usage from 22.8% to 2.4%. - Fixed the tmux statusline spawning `sudo powermetrics` (`gpu.sh`) + `ps -A` (`cpu.sh`) + `vm_stat` (`ram.sh`) every five seconds. Creating `tmux-status.c`, changing the APIs it calls, and optimizing the call pattern reduced idle power consumption by 78%. ### 2026-08-22 Still improving various things. Time to try SvelteKit 3. If even my little laptop has this many inefficiencies, how much must there still be to fix in the world? ### 2026-08-18 Still tinkering with the design bit by bit. Without an eye for aesthetics, I make no progress. I need practice, but rarely do anything. So lazy. ### 2026-08-15 I improved the wiki design. I applied to headings and justified the body text. I tried to keep Korean word units from breaking, but could not prevent it entirely. See [Wiki design update, August 16, 2026](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/2026-08-16%20%EC%9C%84%ED%82%A4%20%EB%94%94%EC%9E%90%EC%9D%B8%20%EA%B0%9C%ED%8E%B8.txt). ## Past journals [2026](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Journal%202026.txt): - [Journal: July 2026](https://wiki.g15e.com/en/pages/Journal%202026-07.txt) - [Journal: June 2026](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Journal%202026-06.txt) - [Journal: May 2026](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Journal%202026-05.txt) - [Journal: April 2026](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Journal%202026-04.txt) - [Journal: March 2026](https://wiki.g15e.com/en/pages/Journal%202026-03.txt) - [Journal: February 2026](https://wiki.g15e.com/en/pages/Journal%202026-02.txt) - [Journal: January 2026](https://wiki.g15e.com/en/pages/Journal%202026-01.txt) Earlier: - [2025](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Journal%202025.txt), [2024](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Journal%202024.txt), [2023](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Journal%202023.txt), [2022](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Journal%202022.txt), [2021](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Journal%202021.txt), [2020](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Journal%202020.txt) - [2019](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Journal%202019.txt), [2018](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Journal%202018.txt), [2017](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Journal%202017.txt), [2016](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Journal%202016.txt), [2015](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Journal%202015.txt), [2014](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Journal%202014.txt), [2013](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Journal%202013.txt), [2012](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Journal%202012.txt), [2011](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Journal%202011.txt), [2010](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Journal%202010.txt) - [2009](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Journal%202009.txt), [2008](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Journal%202008.txt), [2007](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Journal%202007.txt), [2006](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Journal%202006.txt), [2005](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Journal%202005.txt), [2004](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Journal%202004.txt), [2003](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Journal%202003.txt), [2002](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Journal%202002.txt), [2001](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Journal%202001.txt), [2000](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Journal%202000.txt) Further back: - [My personal history of programming](https://wiki.g15e.com/en/pages/Personal%20history%20of%20programming.txt) ## Wiki map A map for exploring the wiki () - [Books I've read](https://wiki.g15e.com/en/pages/Books%20Ive%20read.txt) - [Articles I've written](https://wiki.g15e.com/en/pages/Articles%20Ive%20written.txt) - [Games I've played](https://wiki.g15e.com/pages/Games%20Ive%20played.txt) - [Software I've used](https://wiki.g15e.com/en/pages/Softwares%20Ive%20used.txt)
